Becket, MA – February 19, 2024 – NorthRenew Energy (“NorthRenew”) is pleased to announce today the sale of their Arco Wind and Solar project to PacifiCorp, the largest grid operator in the western United States serving customers in Oregon, Washington, California, Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming.
The Arco Wind and Solar project, located in Bingham and Bonneville counties of southeastern Idaho, is currently designed to have over 300 megawatts of combined wind, solar, and storage nameplate capacity and commence construction in 2025 with commercial operations planned for late 2026. The project envisions the opportunity to add an additional 800 megawatts of solar capacity. This transaction represents a major accomplishment for NorthRenew’s development efforts in Idaho and an important milestone for the project, which is expected to
enhance PacifiCorp’s diverse mix of generating resources across its six-state system and also provide various benefits to the local communities and its landowner hosts. This transaction represents NorthRenew’s ninth project sale since the company’s inception in 2017.
