NorthRenew Energy, a renewable energy development company, is pleased to announce the addition of Mark Green as Development Director, where he will focus on augmenting and enhancing NorthRenew’s project management and execution capacity.

Over the course of Mr. Green’s 28 years in project development, with over 20 of those years dedicated to the renewable energy sector, he has successfully led uniquely challenging permitting, contracting and strategic development initiatives, in addition to completing the development, acquisition and expansion of numerous renewable energy, solid waste management, recycling and related facilities. “Mark is a seasoned project manager and brings a wealth of hands-on development experience within dynamic and challenging environments and across a wide spectrum of technologies, adding skills that are essential to moving our pipeline of projects through the development lifecycle with the level of quality and assurance that our partners and stakeholders have come to expect” said Garth Klimchuk, NorthRenew’s Founder and Managing Partner.

“We look forward to his contributions to the management and execution of our critical path initiatives, as NorthRenew’s pipeline of projects continues to expand.” Prior to joining NorthRenew, Mr. Green was Vice President and General Manager of Energy Answers International’s Puerto Rico subsidiary, dedicated to the development of a 2,100 ton per day, 80 MW waste-to-energy facility. In this capacity, Mr. Green led a cross-functional team through the full development lifecycle, positioning the $750 million project to complete financing and commence construction upon Puerto Rico’s emergence from bankruptcy proceedings. Prior to this, he functioned as an internal strategic consultant within Energy Answers, focused on the resolution and acceleration of critical initiatives, which included the successful development and execution of billion-dollar power purchase and fuel supply agreements, management of complex, contested and high-profile federal and local permitting programs, as well as management of government affairs initiatives in support of these efforts. “I am extremely excited to join the NorthRenew team.” said Mr. Green.

“NorthRenew has engaged a team of extremely well qualified renewable energy professionals and strategic partnersthat have in a very short period of time demonstrated their ability to secure an attractive portfolio of projects across the development lifecycle. I look forward to being part of the NorthRenew team as we take each of these projects to commercial operation.” Mr. Green holds an Aeronautical Engineering degree and MBA in Entrepreneurship from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
