Mr. Green has 28 years of project development and subsidiary management experience. Twenty of those years were dedicated to the renewable energy sector and include “greenfield” developments and facility acquisitions across a broad spectrum of renewable energy technologies including: waste-to-energy, utility-scale solar, biodiesel and anaerobic digester systems.
In addition to hands-on project development and management experience, Mr. Green has extensive project finance, development funding and venture capital procurement experience. Prior to joining NorthRenew, Mr. Green was Vice President and General Manager of Energy Answers International’s Puerto Rico subsidiary, dedicated to the development of a 2,100 ton per day, 80 MW waste-to-energy facility.
In this capacity, Mr. Green led a cross-functional team through the full development lifecycle, positioning the $750 million project to complete financing and commence construction upon Puerto Rico’s emergence from bankruptcy proceedings. Prior to this, he functioned as an internal strategic consultant within Energy Answers, focused on the resolution and acceleration of critical project and corporate initiatives.
Successful assignments included the development and execution of billion-dollar power purchase and fuel supply agreements, management of complex, contested and high-profile federal and local permitting programs, as well as management of government affairs initiatives in support of these objectives. Prior to this engagement, Mr. Green was a Director with NorthWinds Renewables, where he was focused on the development of a 100 million-gallon per year bio-diesel production platform. In addition to these assignments, Mr. Green has developed, acquired and expanded multiple facilities within the solid waste, recycling, composting and related industries.
Mr. Green holds an Aeronautical Engineering degree and MBA in Entrepreneurship from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
