Alex Miadelets has over 20 years of broad energy sector experience. Prior to joining NorthRenew, Alex was a Managing Director at Swift Current Advisors (now named Javelin Capital), a boutique renewable energy development and advisory firm, where led several successful renewable energy transactions including a 180 MW wind project in PJM.
From 2004 to 2016, Alex was an investment banker at UBS and Merrill Lynch, and covered clients in the energy and power sector across North America. During two years of his 6-year tenure at Merrill Lynch, Alex worked as the Structuring Specialist at Merrill Lynch Commodities, where he combined project financing and commodity offtake products to enable capital transactions for his clients in the power generation sector. As an investment banker, Alex completed a large number of M&A and project financing transactions in the power and energy sector, both on a principal basis and for third party clients. Before moving to USA from Canada in 2003 to pursue an investment banking career, Alex worked as an assurance and consulting specialist with KPMG and PWC, covering the energy sector.
Alex earned an MBA degree from the Wharton School (Philadelphia, PA, USA) and a BBA degree from Trinity Western University (Langley, BC, Canada), with concentrations in finance and accounting. He holds Canadian Chartered Accountant and American Certified Public Accountant designations and a Series 7 FINRA securities license.
