Garth Klimchuk
As a developer, investment banker, CFO and consultant he has executed financial and strategic solutions representing over $10 billion in transaction value for companies ranging from start-up to Fortune 100. Prior to NorthRenew, he was Founder and Managing Partner of NorthWinds Advisors a financial advisory firm and broker-dealer, in which he executed transactions representing more than 3,500 MW and over $5 billion of project value. Through his broad responsibilities on behalf of his clients, he was engaged in deep due diligence and negotiation processes across a wide range of renewable energy projects and technologies.
Prior to NorthWinds, Garth was founder of several advisory firms focused on the power, utility and renewable sectors and was head of Berenson Minella’s Power and Utility Group. Prior to Berenson, Garth was a senior banker and consultant in the energy groups of CIBC World Markets, J.P. Morgan, Chem Systems and Kidder, Peabody. Garth holds an MBA from The Wharton School, an MA in Energy Management and Policy from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Geology from Brown University.
Alex Miadelets
Alex Miadelets has over 25 years of broad energy sector experience. Before joining NorthRenew, Alex was a Managing Director at Swift Current, a boutique renewable energy development and advisory firm, where he led several successful renewable energy transactions, including a 180 MW wind project in PJM. From 2004 to 2016, Alex was an investment banker at UBS and Merrill Lynch, and covered clients in the electric power utility and independent power generation sectors across North America. During two years of his 6-year tenure at Merrill Lynch, Alex worked as the Structuring Specialist at Merrill Lynch Commodities where he combined project financing and commodity offtake products to enable capital transactions for his clients in the power generation sector. Alex completed a large number of M&A and project financing transactions in the electric power utility and independent power generation sectors, both on a principal basis and for third-party clients. Before moving to the USA from Canada in 2003 to pursue an investment banking career, Alex worked as an assurance and consulting specialist with KPMG and PWC in the energy sector. Alex earned an MBA degree from the Wharton School (Philadelphia, PA, USA) and a BBA degree from Trinity Western University (Langley, BC, Canada), with concentrations in finance and accounting. He holds Canadian Chartered Accountant and American Certified Public Accountant designations and a Series 7 FINRA securities license.
Mark Green
Mr. Green has 28 years of project development and subsidiary management experience. Twenty of those years were dedicated to the renewable energy sector and include “greenfield” developments and facility acquisitions across a broad spectrum of renewable energy technologies including: waste-to-energy, utility-scale solar, biodiesel and anaerobic digester systems.
In addition to hands-on project development and management experience, Mr. Green has extensive project finance, development funding and venture capital procurement experience. Prior to joining NorthRenew, Mr. Green was Vice President and General Manager of Energy Answers International’s Puerto Rico subsidiary, dedicated to the development of a 2,100 ton per day, 80 MW waste-to-energy facility.
In this capacity, Mr. Green led a cross-functional team through the full development lifecycle, positioning the $750 million project to complete financing and commence construction upon Puerto Rico’s emergence from bankruptcy proceedings. Prior to this, he functioned as an internal strategic consultant within Energy Answers, focused on the resolution and acceleration of critical project and corporate initiatives.
Successful assignments included the development and execution of billion-dollar power purchase and fuel supply agreements, management of complex, contested and high-profile federal and local permitting programs, as well as management of government affairs initiatives in support of these objectives. Prior to this engagement, Mr. Green was a Director with NorthWinds Renewables, where he was focused on the development of a 100 million-gallon per year bio-diesel production platform. In addition to these assignments, Mr. Green has developed, acquired and expanded multiple facilities within the solid waste, recycling, composting and related industries.
Mr. Green holds an Aeronautical Engineering degree and MBA in Entrepreneurship from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Casey Press
Thomas J. Joiner
Mr. Joiner has over 35 years of construction-related expertise in every aspect of heavy industrial to commercial construction, and over 15 years in wind energy construction. He began his work in the wind industry erecting wind turbines in 2001.
Since 2001, Mr. Joiner has worked in the wind industry with erection companies, sub contracting firms, turbine suppliers, balance of plant contractors and wind energy developers. His wide-ranging skill set and experience in the wind energy sector has gained Mr. Joiner a reputation of being a superior project management asset, dedicated to detail and excellence in managing project personnel, schedule, events sequencing, and quality control.
Patrick Fei
Patrick Fei comes to NorthRenew from S&P Global with a background in Business Development for Market Intelligence, Power Forecasting and ESG-reporting services covering the energy, utility and renewables industries. During his time at S&P, Patrick executed desktop, API and reporting solutions that represent over $500k in transaction value to some of the largest companies in the energy industry.
Patrick holds a BA in Economics from Boston College.
Carol LeBlanc
Carol LeBlanc is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the firm and its projects. She is a CPA licensed in Massachusetts and New York with 22 years of accounting experience.
She has substantial background in business management, tax, and auditing and specializes in tracking project costs and cash forecasting. Carol received a BS in accounting from State University of New York Empire State College.

Nature’s Energy Group
The Nature’s Energy Group (“NEG”) is an Oklahoma-based company focused on identifying, exclusively for NorthRenew, optimal locations for renewable energy development throughout the United States. NEG principals’ skillsets and established relationships in the farming and landowner communities enable them to be extremely productive and synergistic in partnering with the rest of the NorthRenew team in their effort toward originating greenfield utility-scale renewable energy projects.
Idaho Project Team
NorthRenew has partnered with an Idaho-based renewable resource land development team to identify and secure sites in Idaho and the surrounding region that are best suited for utility-scale renewable energy development. Since 2018, this collaboration has allowed NorthRenew to lease over 30,000 acres of private and public land in several Idaho locations for wind, solar generation and power storage development.
NatureNet Energy
NorthRenew has partnered with Lynn Greene of NatureNet Energy, a Denver-based renewable resource land development and infrastructure company to assist in identifying development opportunities in New Mexico.
